Hip Hop star Kanye West's mother, Donda, a celebrated English professor who retired to manage to son's career, died at the age of 58 Sunday morning in a Los Angeles hospital.

West had spent 30 years at Chicago State University, rising to English Department head. Since leaving the university, she appeared on "Oprah" and other national talk shows to talk about her life, raising her son and teen literacy.

In the past year, she worked as head of the Kanye West Foundation, which is aimed at keeping inner-city youth in school and connected with society.

Agh well. Anyhoo i quit work today becos the guy daint kept giving me weekday shifts instead of weekends.Id better get my pay though! Im doing college work.. feel less "stressed" how may i say.. :D
